altPlus’s partner Professor Huang Dongsheng attend “ BARC-ICBCS 2022” Congress

In order to promote the green economic development using bamboo and rattan and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Celebration of INBAR’s 25th Anniversary and the Second Global Bamboo and Rattan Congress (BARC 2022) is held in Beijing between 7-8 November 2022. Co-hosted by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China (NFGA) and International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR), this event brings representatives from governments, research institutes, international and non-governmental organizations, the private sector and the media, to discuss the development of bamboo and rattan.

Bamboo buildings has always been one of the key development directions of INBAR. Combining with the purpose of BARC 2022, INBAR cooperates with global partners to hold “ BARC-ICBCS2022 conference” both offline and online. The conference aims to gather industry experts to share the latest progress of global biomass building materials and structures in scientific research, innovative technology, market promotion and case application from full profession perspective.

As one of the worlds’ foremost leaders in private, bamboo research and technology, altPlus aims to standardize and accelerate the adoption of performance bamboo solutions and redefine the solutions in commercial, industrial and infrastructure fields. Cooperate with scientific research institutions closely is one of the important ways for us to move forward technological invention and innovation. Professor Huang Dongsheng, the long-term partner of altPlus, attended the second session of the conference on November 8 (10:30 AM-12:20 AM) as a speaker. The theme is the application and development status and future prospects of biomass composite materials in modern building industry. Professor Huang gave a speech entitled "Engineering Bamboo Materials and Engineering Bamboo Structure",

Now, the online conference has been officially opened, we welcome anyone who has interest in engineered bamboo and low carbon material applied in architecture

take the opportunity to listen presentation record, meet with us in the cloud, and discuss the development of engineered bamboo together.

*National Engineering Research Center of Biomaterials (NERC) was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2015. The center mainly aims at the industry based on the fabrication and application of biomass materials. Center focuses on numerous fields for scientific research, technology developments and engineering applications, including the manufacturing technology of high-performance biomass wood-substitute materials and the manufacturing equipment, as well as the recycling and utilizing technology of biomass materials.
